In January 2015, New York Times columnist Mandy Len Catron posted the article “To Fall In Love With Anyone, Do This”, and the list of 36 questions developed by Dr. Arthur Aron and Dr. Elaine Aron became famous. You may have seen them on The Big Bang Theory episode “The Intimacy Acceleration” where Penny and Sheldon used them to get to know each other better.
Billed as a way to build intimacy between romantic partners, they are also being used between friends and family members to foster closeness and deeper attachment.
I thought it might be fun to answer the questions, one each month, in Nessa’s News so be sure to subscribe if you want to check out my answers. I’ll address them in order without reading ahead and attempt as much openness as I possibly can. I’m already nervous, but I’ve vowed to push my comfort zone boundaries.
