I did manipulate that last image. I couldn't count on the sun striking the window just right, although I wish it did.
That is neat. I have these cheap paper blinds on my windows. The cats try to climb drapes, so I don't have those, and they destroy regular blinds, so those are right out too.
I'd be tempted to draw on them or paint them. :)

This is a totally contrived image. I cut out a shape from paper and taped it to the window behind the shades.
