dragon design for part of the "Cornered" project (c) vanessa v kilmer 20130117
it’s not too much to ask for a patron of the arts
to cater to my every need and want;
perhaps the fates could grant my wish
and let me hit it big at the lottery;
i could become a drunken writer
and spend my minutes, hours, days,
Ya know Vanessa Kilmer, I once had a breakout of Lexeme. But I applied an ample amount of Locution to it and it all went away. Loved your Dragon.!
ReplyDeleteYet another example of the wide range of talent and creativity possessed by YOU.
Loved your colloquial 55
Thanks for playing, and yes My Dear, you indeed did make me smile..:-)
Have a Kick Ass Week-End
GIN!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHehehehehe...
I would love to hit that kind of lottery situation.
ReplyDeleteGreat pic!
Ah, a writer's dream :-)
ReplyDeleteNice one.
ha i want to win the lottery and do just that....if you win enough can you share and make my dreams come true as well...smiles.
ReplyDeleteThat is a delightfully written dream.
ReplyDeleteA drunken writer? Hmmm, now there's a thought! I know of two drunken composers...Brams and Lizt!!!
ReplyDelete;)
PS. I hear Peter Jackson's looking for a Dragon to play the part of Smaug. Big bucks too!
ReplyDeleteA drunken writer...I can dig it!
ReplyDeleteGreat dragon and I'm seriously into dragons!
ReplyDeleteSome friends and I were talking about drunk writers just last week. It seems such a long standing tradition. We decided that drinking wouldn't help us, though, because the writers who do it are really just dealing with hypersensitivity.
ReplyDeleteQuite Quite!
ReplyDeleteRight Right!
Happy Aloha to YOU

I'm more likely to finish what I start when I'm a sober (or nearly sober) writer than a drunken one. I don't know how Faulkner, Fitzgerald, Hemingway, et al, did it!
ReplyDeleteLovely little satire, and thanks for the new words.
ReplyDeleteI want to do what you wrote about in your poem! Of course I unfortunately can't get drunk anymore because it triggers manic behavior, but I could sit around drinking grape juice from the bottle and writing gleefully with a wild look in my eye!
ReplyDeleteThis is most awesome, Nessa ... you have me poring over my unabridged dictionary!
ReplyDelete... a drunken writer is easier than winning the lottery...
ReplyDeleteVery cute.
