Susan’s Picture:
My Story:
Roland and Jules knew it would never work.
They came from different
socio-economic backgrounds:
Roland's poncho - dazzling,
Jules' - dull.

LOL. Opposites don't attract!
ReplyDeleteHee hee...at least Roland has that fancy poncho going for him because, quite honestly, he's really not "all that"!
ReplyDeleteA modern take on an age-old theme - this made me laugh :-)
ReplyDeletethey can still be friends, don't they?
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Loved it :)
ReplyDeleteVery good .. LOL :o)
ReplyDeleteAnd never the twain shall meet! LOL :)
ReplyDeleteLOL. I hope there's still a chance to work it out.
ReplyDeleteVery creative! I guess style does matter.
ReplyDeleteRomeo and Juliet redux, Very nice!
ReplyDeleteOh, great one, Nessa! The modern Romeo and Juliet! Nope, probably never work, opposites may attract, but not for long! Have a great week!

Sometimes it can never work out.
ReplyDeleteMy husband would disagree. He says if you're both alike, one of you is unnecessary. He should know, being married to his exact opposite for 35 years!
ReplyDeleteThat made me grin! Oh to be cursed with a dull poncho. Life can be so cruel.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
ah but its what is under the poncho that matters you know...smiles.
ReplyDeleteSo love didn't conquer all this time, I guess. I like your unique take on this week's pic!
ReplyDeleteGood one, Nessa. Leave it to the writer to put these characters in.I hope Jules instigated this split. I would hate for her to lose her donkey.
ReplyDelete..
Life can be like this sometimes!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the the giggle Nessa, I need to get writing but I've gotten out of my pattern. ~ Calico Contemplations
ReplyDeleteI loved it! Probably not going to be a happy couple. LOL.
ReplyDeleteEven if they had thought it would work, their families would likely have interfered! Loved your modern take on this...
ReplyDeleteHave a great week. Cheers.
very creative Nessa I had to chuckle when I saw the Romeo and Juliet tags very cute take on it!
ReplyDeletetwo ships (or Burros) that passed in the night.
ReplyDeleteEveryone keeps picking on the poor cape man's clothes-LOL! Funny...
ReplyDeleteToo bad fashion differences got in the way.
ReplyDeletesometimes opposites attract ~ even though Jules and Roland are poles apart as long as there's cacti in sight their joined at the heart ~ shame they have to live out their days in the desert :) although perhaps the odd cacti in a plantpot would suffice ~ only time could tell :)
ReplyDeleteOh dear!!
have a great week

Got a little Broke Back goin' on?
ReplyDelete:)
I can truly say this is the first time I have heard of a poncho being described as dazzling. Love it!
ReplyDeleteHow it goes and goes and goes again. Well written.
ReplyDeleteoh that's too bad, they would have been so happy together...
ReplyDeleteIf they really cared they would have tried harder.
ReplyDeleteTsk. We make such fine lines of distinction.
ReplyDeleteClothes maketh the man.
ReplyDeleteThe dazzling poncho was so off-putting that never the twain shall meet. Quite a lesson in superficiality and very cleverly rendered!
ReplyDelete:)
This made me laugh. Love it.
