April is Poetry Month. Write a poem-a-day.
The prompt for today is: Spring is nature's way of saying, "Let's party!" ~ Robin Williams
Here’s my poem:
The prompt for April 3, 2010: a lover’s triangle
Here’s my poem:
There was one piece of apple pie left.
The crust, buttery and light, fell softly to the plate in golden brown flakes atop juicy sweet fruit and brown sugar cinnamon gooey goodness.
We both sat staring at it wishing the other would make the offer.
April is poetry month.
Write a poem-a-day in April.
Tomorrow's prompt is up and you can catch up with the previous prompts.
Wine, women and song
ReplyDeleteOh it seemed so long
The dance floor was packed
There was nothing it lacked
Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb
Oh that Party was so much fun
Who should I choose
ReplyDeleteI don't want to lose
My wife on this side
The Blonde along for the ride
I love them both
Must obey my oath
Loved them both. The pie poem was cute and oh, so familiar.
ReplyDeleteI love both of these, but the first one is simply magnificent. "Confetti petals"..., that sounds like music to me.;)

You caught the mood of spring in the 1st poem. The petals coming down is def. like a celebration of the beautiful weather to come. Love it! And the 2nd poem, I've been caught in that triangle. Nothing good can ever come of it. Good thing for my husband is I don;t eat pie :o)
ReplyDeletelove the first one...so artsy and cool...
ReplyDeleteLoved the first one about Spring. I wonder if they shared the last piece of pie?
ReplyDeleteLove your day #7 poem -- and you are so brilliant. I fumed a couple days back because WP wouldn't let me compose a formed poem! Thank you for the revelation! You are so smart.
ReplyDeleteYour day #3 poem charmed and tickled me. I have been working on one with chocolate in mind, but it isn't half as good as yours.
nature's confetti... simply beautiful!
ReplyDeleteoh, and the suspense in the second one :)
Love them both, but the first one is perfection.
ReplyDeleteI am always amazed at how you are able to say so much in a few words. Both of these are very good.
ReplyDeleteWonderful poems! Beautifully written. The second one is my favorite. Have a wonderful day, Nessa
