Tell a story in 160 Characters
Many of us like to roam over seas fringed in foam to places read of in a tome or to ancient ruins at Rome for the great Cathedral's dome only to long for home.
I have been looking for a Meme to do on Tuesdays. Not being able to find one I like, I made one up. I call it "Tales on Tuesday."
The idea is to tell a short, short (500 words or less) story based on the week's theme. To provide us inspiration, each theme will be the title of a TV show.
Your story does not have to have anything in common with the TV show.
The theme for Tuesday, March 30, 2010, will be "Dark Shadows."
If you would like to suggest a theme, mention it when you comment.

ReplyDeleteNice shadow Nessa. Where are the birds? LOL Or do they go in in pecking order? LOL Have a good Sunday :) Ooops forgot to mention what a great 160 that is. Well done. And there is no place like home :)
ReplyDeleteLoved the shadow! I also enjoyed your rhyming 160.
ReplyDeleteI agree, nice shadow. I like the idea of Tales on Tuesday. I will probably start in after April because in April I will be doing clinicals 6-2 on Tuesday and have to do the same on Wednesday. I have a lot of paperwork and have to try and go to bed early. Not my preferred pattern at all, I must say.
ReplyDeletenice 160...there is just something that brings us back to desiring home...
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to read what you write!
ReplyDeleteThom: The birds are out shopping for nesting material.
ReplyDeleteQuilly: The bright sunshine creates nice strong shadows.
Cheesemeister: Sounds very grueling. I am not normally a morning person myself although I get up at 5am everyday. I would much rather being heading for bed at that time.
Brian: even when we try so hard to get away.
Realliveman: I hope it meets expectations.
so often the shadow is even more beautiful than the object
ReplyDeletethis is one of those times

I do love shadow shots. Have you ever read George MacDonald's fairtales? He has a good one about the life of shadows. My favorite is Day Boy and Night Girl, although I might be off on that title.

ReplyDeleteI love the bird house picture! Amazing!
ReplyDeleteVery cool photo - love the shadow of the butterfly. Good idea for a new meme too - using the names of TV shows to work off of - brilliant! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat shadows, Nessa. I wish I could write as well as you do!
ReplyDeleteOoo, I like it. It's all artsy.
ReplyDeleteIt's so true: we can't really appreciate home until we've left it for awhile. A wonderful 160!
ReplyDeletei love the shadow shot - the bird house, the textures of the background, the contrasting shadows... perfect!
ReplyDeleteand there's so much truth in 160. nice touch with the rhyming :)
Thank-you everyone for visiting. My head cold is making it difficult to think clearly.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shadows and you got two for the price of one!
ReplyDeleteThe shadow takes on the quality of a drawing on the wall. I suppose because it's rendered in 2 dimensions then.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful shadow! It looks like the butterfly is standing on the house. Wonderful words, too.
ReplyDeleteLove the 'drama' of the shadow shot in your post!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos!
