This is how much snow we got in December 2009. My husband (Vinnie, a nickname he got growing up with Italians because he is a blond haired blue eyed German / Irish – go figure) was quite upset because he did not get to use his new mega snow blower (being spinally deficient and all.) He sat on the porch while a friend used the machine on its maiden voyage. I’m sure you men out there sympathize with Vinnie.
Big snow like this doesn’t happen often in New Jersey. Another big snow storm is due to begin this evening. Send good wishes our way that Vinnie gets to play with his toy tomorrow. If he doesn’t, I’m afraid he may cry. That wouldn’t be pretty. Real men don’t eat chiche and they certainly don’t cry (unless their football teams win or they are out of beer.)

My son had a similar problem. I offered to hire him to shovel the walk, but by the time he got home from school, it had melted off.

Oh my goodness! Dennis is sniffling for him even as I type! Poor guy... that IS a very sad story! I do PRAY you get AT LEAST as much snow as WE are getting and that he doesn't overdo his back playing with that toy! I know WE don't see it quite the same way... but will he share it with you?

ReplyDeleteI think the loss needs to be in the playoffs or superbowl. Crying over a pre-season game is not on the same level.
We got snow here in the Midwest too, but we got the sleet mix for a few hours first. Nasty stuff.
