I was going to change my avitar again but this one is growing on me, so I think I will keep it. I made it last night instead of going to sleep and now I am exhausted. So, instead of some original writing today, I give you a poem from my great-great-great uncle.
"The air is like a butterfly
With frail blue wings.
The happy earth looks at the sky
And sings."
- Joyce Kilmer, Spring
Your new little avi is adorable - and perfect for you! Two weeks ago I might have thought it a flying lucky clover - but today I know better!
ReplyDeleteVery cute Nessa. The poem fits perfectly with it.
ReplyDeleteMelli: Lucky clovers are good too and you are not the first to think so.
ReplyDeleteThom: 'Cept his butterfly is blue.
I love the little butterfly.
ReplyDeleteYour great uncle's name was "Joyce".?
Ooohhh, I really like that flying butterfly. But Nessa, what do you have against pink?
ReplyDeleteVery creative!
ReplyDeleteLoved the lines too!
Add me to the list of fans of poem and avatar.
ReplyDeleteDr. John: Yes. He is the poet who wrote “Trees”
ReplyDelete“I think that I shall never see a poem lovely as a tree.”
Actonbell: Thanks.
Kat: I like pink, too, especially strawberries.
Indrani: Thank-you.
Doug: And it’s all your fault divided by your partner in crime; D
Where are my glasses when I need them :)
ReplyDeleteI love butterflies too, this avatar is great!
ReplyDeleteThom: Blue sky and yellow sun equals green butterfly.
ReplyDeleteJientje: Thanks.
Very simple, and yet very well written. I like this poem.
ReplyDeleteAlice: I made this on the fly and was going to make it look "better" but I think I'll keep it as is.
